the front counter people .did not know much about how to get places .but they were good at chargeing you when you need transportation., Get a local taxi .not a car from hotel.
Dank room in basement (not disclosed during booking) with tiny 10" high window to street. Street normally not busy, but horrendous noisy through the night due to countless huge trucks rumbling by, people screaming, banging, yelling past 4 am. Phone calls & email to Days Inn China remained unanswered.
The services they "offered" like free wifi in the room. There is no wifi in the room and, the wifi was not working anywhere - not even in the lobby. The staff were so relaxed saying - "the wifi is not working". So, a service is not provided and ... it is not a big problem. The rooms are so small ... The information we received from reception is quite poor. They were not able to provide an information about a turistic bus station (which was in the close area - Tienanmen plazza). So - value for money is poor.
Staff at the reception is extremely rude and the bellboy at the entrance constantly asking for money.
The location of the Hotel is good, and not too far from the metro, and close to the Forbiden city.
the airco was noisy, but did work. During breakfast I saw only one sort of bread meats, might have been some more choise. On your website it said; "work station in each room", I never saw one, didn't complain either because I brought my lap-top.
very good location, clean and good hotel, possibility to arrive at any time, even in the middle of the night,
The hotel was in an excellent location next door to the forbidden city, and close to the metro and the major sights. The room was clean with the necessary amentities, kettle shower gel etc.
The tours sold at the front desk were expensive. The food in the hotel restaurants is expensive. The price quoted on Booked.net does not include the 15% service tax.
I liked the exellent help from miss Sabrina when booking train ticket and hotelrooms in Beidaihe. The friendlines of the staff
The beds were a bit hard
Great location, within 10 mins walking distance to Tiananmen Sq, Wangfujng and subway stations. a bus outside serves to Qianmen and Olympic Park. Nice, modern, clean 3* small chain that does not lack character, but yet offers all you need for a city/culture/sightseeing break, if not more.
Pay a bit more for the deluxe, because although there is no scenic view, a view of the outside (hotel, hutong) is better than nothing and makes all the difference instead of the Budget basement dungeon ones! The hardware of the rooms is worn out, budget materials/fixtures but having said that everything is in good working condition and water temperature and pressure is great.
Excellent location, near the forbidden city and the Wangfujing Street (very good for Shopping, walking e see people and take the subway).
This hotel, although located a good place, has an address located in a very small street that almost any taxi driver knows. So they simply did not want to take us to the hotel. I suggest the hotel to improve its card location (every hotel offers cards with the names and addresses of hotels with maps written in Chinese for western tourists to show where they want to go to chinese people. It works! :)).
Location is the best.
Bed was hard and toilet has urine smell. Sorry, this sounds like complaint. Other than these, the rest are perfect for the location and price!
Room was quiet and comfortable
You could here people in the hallway at night
I have stayed at the Day's Inn twice now. The location is perfect right next to the Forbidden City and at a lremarkably ow cost. The rooms are comfortable if not luxurious - very clean with foreign tv (hbo etc) which is always a bonus. The breakfasts are very good with loads of western options as well as Chinese although they do cost rmb 68 over and above some room rates. The staff are friendly and helpful on the whole - the quality of English varies but, unlike in many hotels in China, the employees do go out of their way to find a solution to any need. All in all it is an ideal budget option when looking to be in the heart of the city.
good location and good food around the hotel
we only have one complaint the price we book thought your website and the price they ask us to paid at the hotel there is a diffr4ence of US$15 per night, which we feel is not fair to us this make us think your website is not relayble and make you look bad.hope you can solve this out with the hotel.
Hotel staff were friendly and helpfull even though there were language problems. Hotel's little garden was nice and the location is fantastic for tourists. Taxis founded it ok but make sure you'll have the hotel card with the Chinese name on it and, if possible, a map with you. Hotel's budget room is just fine if you're not planning on spending time there (there's no view outside) but the more expensive ones are of course nicer. The rooms were cleaned every day and everything functioned. The hotel's restaurant is worth trying. Food was nice (not only western type) and the staff was lovely, they also spoke English.
There were little bugs in our budget room and there were only 1 person in reception that spoke English well enough.
